Heritage Park is a historic site that provides a glimpse into the past of Santa Fe Springs. The City has restored the buildings and grounds of an elegant ranch that prospered there in the late 1800s. The park also tells the story of the indigenous people of this region, the Tongva/Gabrieliño people, in a dramatic exhibit nestled within the trees on the park's west side. At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a railroad exhibit featuring a vintage A.T. & S.F. steam locomotive. The ruins of a large adobe home, built during Mexican colonization, flank the park's largest building, the Carriage Barn, which houses a museum.

Schools are invited to book a tour around the park with a knowledgeable Library staff tour guide. Private tours can also be booked. Visitors are welcome to take a self-guided tour around the park. There is signage at each site in the park, and park rangers are available to answer any questions. Be sure to stop by the Carriage Barn to purchase a souvenir!
