Here are answers to some of our frequently asked questions:
If I don't live in the city, can I still get a library card?
If you live in California and have a photo identification and verification of address, you can get a library card. Please visit our section "Register for a Library Card."
Can I return my borrowed items to any library?
Please return your items to the Santa Fe Springs City Library.
I've lost my card. What do I do?
If your card has been lost or stolen, please call the Santa Fe Springs City Library immediately. The replacement card fee is $1 for the first 3 cards and $5 for each subsequent card.
I forgot my card at home. Can I still check out materials?
If you have forgotten your card, we allow a one-time use of photo identification to check out materials.
What do I need to bring to get a library card?
You need a photo identification and verification of address. Please visit our section "Register for a Library Card."
Can I get overdue notices and hold notification via e-mail?
E-mail notification is available. Simply call the library at 562-868-7738 and have your library card ready, or sign up online.
What's my PIN number?
Your PIN number is the last four digits of your phone number on file with us. Please inform us if your phone number changes.
Does it cost anything to check out items?
There is a $1 fee per item for entertainment DVDs. All other materials are free to check out.
I lost an item. What do I do?
If you have lost an item, please call the library at 562-868-7738. You will be charged for the cost of the item, plus a processing fee.
