Give Us A Hand!

Volunteering at the library is a rewarding experience! The library accepts volunteers from the surrounding community to fulfill a variety of tasks. Students 15 or older who must complete service hours as part of their courses can apply for volunteering at the library. Students may also request mentoring or complete volunteer tasks as part of their senior projects. Fill out a volunteer application today!

Volunteer Types


Adult Programs:

Students 15 and older and adults can help out with various tasks. Schedules are flexible and based on the hours the library is open.

Children's Programs:

Reading Club Volunteers Do you want to give back to your community by helping children improve their reading and writing skills?  Volunteers are needed to help children grades 2-5 learn to read and write at grade level.  We will teach you how to do it! If you are interested in making a big difference in children’s lives, please contact us at 562-868-7738. We look forward to hearing from you!
Learning Curve (Square) (350 × 350 px) Learning Curve High school students are encouraged to volunteer at the Homework Help Center located in the Library. The Homework Help Center is open from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

 

Please note: The Library is not currently accepting court referral volunteers. Please contact Police Services for this service.
